           “GoodLord,yes!There’sthisterriblebusinesstostartwith.ScotlandYardmeninandoutofthehouselikeajack-in-the-box!Neverknowwheretheywon’tturnupnext.Screamingheadlinesineverypaperinthecountry—damnalljournalists,Isay!Doyouknowtherewasawholecrowdstaringinatthelodgegatesthismorning.SortofMadameTussaud’schamberofhorrorsbusinessthatcanbeseenfornothing.Prettythick,isn’tit?”
