           HehadtofeelthisforMaimiesoplainlyfeltitforhim.Hereagereyesaskedthequestion,’Isitto-day?’andhegaspedandthennodded.MaimieslippedherhandintoTony’s,andherswashot,buthiswascold.Shedidaverykindthing;shetookoffherscarfandgaveittohim.’Incaseyoushouldfeelcold,’shewhispered.Herfacewasaglow,butTony’swasverygloomy.
