Thentherevellersrodeclosetogether,foragreatfearwasonthem,buttheystillfollowedoverthemoor,thougheach,hadhebeenalone,wouldhavebeenrightgladtohaveturnedhishorse’shead. Ridingslowlyinthisfashiontheycameatlastuponthehounds. These,thoughknownfortheirvalourandtheirbreed,werewhimperinginaclusterattheheadofadeepdiporgoyal,aswecallit,uponthemoor, someslinkingawayandsome,withstartinghacklesandstaringeyes,gazingdownthenarrowvalleybeforethem.
