           WhenAbelliusheardthis,hetrembledgreatly,andwassoreafraid,andyieldedtoSirTor,andprayedhismercy.

           Therewithheunlacedhishelmet,andtookitoff;butAbellius,indismalfear,struggledtohisfeet,andfled,untilSirTorovertookhim,andsmoteoffhisheadentirelywithoneblow.

           “Now,sir,”saidthedamsel,“itisnearnight,Iprayyecomeandlodgeatmycastlehardby.”

           “Iwill,withagoodwill,”saidhe,forbothhishorseandhehadfaredbutpoorlysincetheyleftCamelot.

           Sohewenttothelady’scastleandfaredsumptuously,andsawherhusband,anoldknight,whogreatlythankedhimforhisservice,andurgedhimoftentimestocomeagain.
