           WhenSirGawainhadspokenthus,KingArthursatpensiveinspirit,andmuseddeeplyoftheHolyGraleanwhatsaintlyknightshouldcomewhomightachieveit.

           Anonhebadethemhastentosetonthebanquet.“Sir,”saidSirKey,theseneschal,“ifyegonowtomeatyewillbreaktheancientcustomofyourcourt,forneverhaveyedinedatthishighfeasttillyehaveseensomestrangeadventure.”

           “Thousayesttruly,”saidtheking,“butmymindwasfullofwondersandmusings,tillIbethoughtmenotofmineoldcustom.”

           Astheystoodspeakingthus,asquireraninandcried,“Lord,Ibringtheemarvelloustidings.”

           “Whatbethey?”saidKingArthur.
