           ThenSirLancelot,dressedinSirKey’sapparel,rodelonginagreatforest,andcameatlasttoalowcountry,fullofriversandfairmeadows,andsawabridgebeforehim,whereonwerethreesilktentsofdiverscolours,andtoeachtentwashungawhiteshield,andbyeachshieldstoodaknight.SoSirLancelotwentbywithoutspeakingaword.Andwhenhehadpassed,thethreeknightssaiditwastheproudSirKey,“whothinkethnoknightequaltohimself,althoughthecontraryisfulloftenproveduponhim.”

           “Bymyfaith!”saidoneofthem,namedGaunter,“Iwillrideafterandattackhimforallhispride,andyeshallwatchmyspeed.
