           TheyhadcrossedAllerhalfamilebelowRoodfoot,andhadcometotheturningoftheways.ThecloudshadthinnedandthestrugglingmoonshowedMelanudrigillbeforethem,risingandfallinglikeanoceanofdarkness.Davidkepthishorse’sheadstraightforit,andChasehope,whohadbeenridingonhisleft,edgedhisbeastacrossthepath.

           "ItisthewindoftheLord’sanger."

           "Guide’entoye,andGodsendyeacontriteheart!"Chasehopeseemedtohaverecoveredcourageattheprospectofpartingcompany.
