           Hehadbeengoingoveroneofthehighestshelvesonedayandhadlefthisstep-ladderleaningagainstitwhenhewentelsewhere.ItwaswhenImountedthesteps,asIoftendidwhenheleftthem,thatIcameuponthemanuscriptwhichrelatedtheoldstoryofDarkMalcolmandhischild.Ithadbeenpushedbehindsomevolumes,andItookitoutbecauseitlookedsooldandyellow.AndIopenedatonceatthepagewherethetalebegan.
