"Willyoutryit,Zeb?"askedthegirl,turningtohercompanion.

DorothystretchedoutahandtohimandZebputonefootoutandletitrestintheairalittleovertheedgeoftheroof.Itseemedfirmenoughtowalkupon,sohetookcourageandputouttheotherfoot.Dorothykeptholdofhishandandfollowedhim,andsoontheywerebothwalkingthroughtheair,withthekittenfriskingbesidethem.
"Comeon,Jim!"calledtheboy."It’sallright."
Jimhadcrepttotheedgeoftherooftolookover,andbeingasensiblehorseandquiteexperienced,hemadeuphismindthathecouldgowheretheothersdid.So,withasnortandaneighandawhiskofhisshorttailhetrottedofftheroofintotheairandatoncebeganfloatingdownwardtothestreet.
