ThedangersofthedesolateseaaredealtoutastheGodswill,andmancanonlytakethemastheycome.Stormsweencountered,andthemarinersfoughtthemwithstubbornendurance;twiceablazingstonefromHeavenhissedintotheseabesideus,thoughwithoutinjuringanyofourships;and,aswasunavoidable,thegreatbeastsoftheseahunteduswiththeiraccustomedsavagery.
