           Haroldlistenedinrespectfulsilence.Hewouldmuchratherhavebeenhuntingthemole,whomusthavebeenamileawaybythistimeifhehadhiswitsabouthim.Buthehadallthenaturalinstinctsofagentleman;ofwhomitisoneoftheprincipalmarks,ifnotthecompletedefinition,nevertoshowsignsofbeingbored.
