           Avast,confusedheapofhouseholdeffectswasthere—chairs,sofas,pictures,fixtures,lamps.Hilma’slittlehomehadbeengutted;everythinghadbeentakenfromitandruthlesslyflungoutupontheroad,everythingthatsheandherhusbandhadboughtduringthatwonderfulweekaftertheirmarriage.
