HehandedAnnixterasheetofnotepaper,andturnedagaintothecinchingofhissaddle.

Annixterreadthenote,HarranandPresleylookingoverhisshoulder.

Annixterturnedabout,hislipswhite.AlreadyPresleyandHarranhadruntotheirhorses.
“Vacca,”criedAnnixter,“where’sVacca?Putthesaddleonthebuckskin,QUICK.Osterman,getasmanyoftheLeagueasareheretogetheratTHISspot,understand.I’llbebackinaminute.ImusttellHilmathis.”
