S.Behrman,theclerk,andthemanwiththedoor-closingapparatusinvolvedthemselvesinalongargument,gazingintentlyatthetoppanelofthedoor.Themanwhohadcometofixtheapparatuswasunwillingtoguaranteeit,unlessasignwasputontheoutsideofthedoor,warningincomersthatthedoorwasself-closing.Thissignwouldcostfifteencentsextra.
