ThesearrangementsweredecideduponearlyinthemonthofAugust.Aboutthesamedate,thelastalterationsintheoldpalaceatVenicewerecompleted.Theroomsweredriedbysteam;thecellarswerestocked;themanagercollectedroundhimhisarmyofskilledservants;andthenewhotelwasadvertisedalloverEuropetoopeninOctober.
