           Thehandkerchiefwhichhadhoodedherheadwasnowalittlethrownback,herfacebeingsomewhatelevated.Aprofilewasvisibleagainstthedullmonochromeofcloudaroundher;anditwasasthoughsideshadowsfromthefeaturesofSapphoandMrs.Siddonshadconvergedupwardsfromthetombtoformanimagelikeneitherbutsuggestingboth.This,however,wasmeresuperficiality.Inrespectofcharacterafacemaymakecertainadmissionsbyitsoutline;butitfullyconfessesonlyinitschanges.
