           “Leanonmyarm,ma’am,tillwegettotheporch,andIwilltrytoopenthedoor.”

           Hesupportedhertotheporch,andtheredepositingheronaseathastenedtotheback,climbedtoawindowbythehelpofaladder,anddescendinginsideopenedthedoor.Nextheassistedherintotheroom,wheretherewasanold-fashionedhorsehairsetteeaslargeasadonkeywagon.Shelaydownhere,andCharleycoveredherwithacloakhefoundinthehall.
