“ThemomentIlookedatmytable,Iwasawarethatsomeonehadrummagedamongmypapers.Theproofwasinthreelongslips.Ihadleftthemalltogether.Now,Ifoundthatoneofthemwaslyingonthefloor,onewasonthesidetablenearthewindow,andthethirdwaswhereIhadleftit.”

“Thefirstpageonthefloor,thesecondinthewindow,thethirdwhereyouleftit,”saidhe.
