           Apparentlyhehadsometimeagoreachedthatentrancetomiddleageatwhichaman’saspectnaturallyceasestoalterforthetermofadozenyearsorso;and,artificially,awoman’sdoeslikewise.Thirty-fiveandfiftywerehislimitsofvariationhemighthavebeeneither,oranywherebetweenthetwo.

           Itmaybesaidthatmarriedmenoffortyareusuallyreadyandgenerousenoughtoflingpassingglancesatanyspecimenofmoderatebeautytheymaydiscernbytheway.
