           Afterhalfanhour’sfreeindulgenceofgriefandreflection,Catherinefeltequaltoencounteringherfriends;butwhethersheshouldmakeherdistressknowntothemwasanotherconsideration.Perhaps,ifparticularlyquestioned,shemightjustgiveanidea—justdistantlyhintatit—butnotmore.
