           ItwasnoonwhenthetrainenteredKazounde.Thedrumswerebeaten,hornswereblowninthemidstofthedetonationsoffire-arms.Thesoldiersguardingthecaravandischargedtheirgunsintheair,andthemenemployedbyJose-AntonioAlvezrepliedwithinterest.Allthesebanditswerehappyatmeetingagain,afteranabsencewhichhadlastedforfourmonths.Theywerenowgoingtorestandmakeupforlosttimeinexcessesandidleness.

           Theprisonersthenformedatotaloftwohundredandfifty,themajoritybeingcompletelyexhausted.Afterhavingbeendrivenlikecattle,theyweretobeshutupinpens,whichAmericanfarmerswouldnothaveusedforpigs.
