           Asilencetookpossessionofthelittleroomand,undercoverofit,Iapproachedthetableandtastedmysherryandthenreturnedquietlytomychairinthecomer.Elizaseemedtohavefallenintoadeeprevery.Wewaitedrespectfullyforhertobreakthesilence:andafteralongpauseshesaidslowly:
