           Falsefriendshipistheworst.Avoiditatallcosts.Ifyou’rehonestandstraightforwardandmeanwell,itshouldshowinyoureyes.Itshouldbeunmistakable.

           16.Toliveagoodlife:

           Wehavethepotentialforit.Ifwecanlearntobeindifferenttowhatmakesnodifference.Thisishowwelearn:bylookingateachthing,boththepartsandthewhole.Keepinginmindthatnoneofthemcandictatehowweperceiveit.Theydon’timposethemselvesonus.Theyhoverbeforeus,unmoving.Itiswewhogeneratethejudgments—inscribingthemonourselves.Andwedon’thaveto.Wecouldleavethepageblank—andifamarkslipsthrough,eraseitinstantly.

           Rememberhowbriefistheattentivenessrequired.Andthenourliveswillend.
