           Ashewasthuswalking,utteringnosound,excepttohailthemenaloft,ortobidthemhoistasailstillhigher,ortospreadonetoastillgreaterbreadththustoandfropacing,beneathhisslouchedhat,ateveryturnhepassedhisownwreckedboat,whichhadbeendroppeduponthequarter-deck,andlaytherereversed;brokenbowtoshatteredstern.Atlasthepausedbeforeit;andasinanalreadyover-cloudedskyfreshtroopsofcloudswillsometimessailacross,soovertheoldman’sfacetherenowstolesomesuchaddedgloomasthis.
