Thiswasasurpriseeventotheactors,andwhentheysawthetable,theylookedatoneanotherinrapturousamazement.ItwaslikeMarmeetogetupalittletreatforthem,butanythingsofineasthiswasunheardofsincethedeparteddaysofplenty.Therewasicecream,actuallytwodishesofit,pinkandwhite,andcakeandfruitanddistractingFrenchbonbonsand,inthemiddleofthetable,fourgreatbouquetsofhothouseflowers.
Itquitetooktheirbreathaway,andtheystaredfirstatthetableandthenattheirmother,wholookedasifsheenjoyeditimmensely.
