           Scrooge’sniecewasnotoneoftheblind-man’sbuffparty,butwasmadecomfortablewithalargechairandafootstool,inasnugcorner,wheretheGhostandScroogewereclosebehindher.Butshejoinedintheforfeits,andlovedherlovetoadmirationwithallthelettersofthealphabet.LikewiseatthegameofHow,When,andWhere,shewasverygreat,andtothesecretjoyofScrooge’snephew,beathersistershollow:thoughtheyweresharpgirlstoo,asIcouldhavetoldyou.Theremighthavebeentwentypeoplethere,youngandold,buttheyallplayed,andsodidScrooge,for,whollyforgettingtheinteresthehadinwhatwasgoingon,thathisvoicemadenosoundintheirears,hesometimescameoutwithhisguessquiteloud,andveryoftenguessedquiteright,too;forthesharpestneedle,bestWhitechapel,warrantednottocutintheeye,wasnotsharperthanScrooge;bluntashetookitinhisheadtobe.

           TheGhostwasgreatlypleasedtofindhiminthismood,andlookeduponhimwithsuchfavour,thathebeggedlikeaboytobeallowedtostayuntiltheguestsdeparted.ButthistheSpiritsaidcouldnotbedone.

           ‘Hereisanewgame,’saidScrooge.‘Onehalfhour,Spirit,onlyone!’

           ItwasaGamecalledYesandNo,whereScrooge’snephewhadtothinkofsomething,andtherestmustfindoutwhat;heonlyansweringtotheirquestionsyesorno,asthecasewas.
