"Whohathdaredtowoundthee?"criedtheGiant;"tellme,thatImighttakemybigswordandslayhim."
"Nay!"answeredthechild;"butthesearethewoundsofLove."
"Whoartthou?"saidtheGiant,andastrangeawefellonhim,andhekneltbeforethelittlechild.
AndthechildsmiledontheGiant,andsaidtohim,"Youletmeplayonceinyourgarden,to-dayyoushallcomewithmetomygarden,whichisParadise."
Andwhenthechildrenraninthatafternoon,theyfoundtheGiantlyingdeadunderthetree,allcoveredwithwhiteblossoms.
