           “Iwonderhowanyonecanseeanythinginthemantopraiseortoadmire.Formyownpart,IthinkandIwouldsaythesamethingstraighttohisfacethatheisaperfectrascal.”

           “Yes,butdolistentowhatIhavegottotellyou.”

           “Oh,Iknowthatsomepeoplethinkhimhandsome,”continuedthehostess,unmoved;“butIsaythatheisnothingofthekindthat,inparticular,hisnoseisperfectlyodious.”

           “Yes,butletmefinishwhatIwassaying.”Theguest’stonewasalmostpiteousinitsappeal.
