           ItoccurredtomeveryforciblyatthatmomentthattoharbourMissHowardandAlfredInglethorpunderthesameroof,andkeepthepeacebetweenthem,waslikelytoproveaHerculeantask,andIdidnotenvyJohn.Icouldseebytheexpressionofhisfacethathefullyappreciatedthedifficultyoftheposition.
