           InabouthalfanhourTom’swagondroveuptothefrontstile,andAuntSallysheseeitthroughthewindow,becauseitwasonlyaboutfiftyyards,andsays:

           "Mr.ArchibaldNichols,Ipresume?"

           "No,myboy,"saystheoldgentleman,"I’msorrytosay’tyourdriverhasdeceivedyou;Nichols’splaceisdownamatterofthreemilemore.Comein,comein."

           Tomhetookalookbackoverhisshoulder,andsays,"Toolatehe’soutofsight.
