Someandthedukewentuptothevillage,andhuntedaroundtherefortheking,andbyandbywefoundhiminthebackroomofalittlelowdoggery,verytight,andalotofloafersbullyragginghimforsport,andhea-cussinganda-threateningwithallhismight,andsotighthecouldn’twalk,andcouldn’tdonothingtothem.Thedukehebeguntoabusehimforanoldfool,andthekingbeguntosassback,andtheminutetheywasfairlyatitIlitoutandshookthereefsoutofmyhindlegs,andspundowntheriverroadlikeadeer,forIseeourchance;andImadeupmymindthatitwouldbealongdaybeforetheyeverseemeandJimagain.Igotdowntherealloutofbreathbutloadedupwithjoy,andsungout:
"Setherloose,Jim!we’reallrightnow!"
